Ever feel like you are just sitting around waiting for something to happen? Why does everyone around me seem to be so talented or on the fast track to success?
I have found myself having these very thoughts lately. I feel as if I am just coasting through life, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I just feel as if I could be doing more, helping more or using my God given talents for something. Which I am still trying to figure out what exactly those talents are! 🙂
Sometimes I feel like I can’t do anything, or use my “hidden” talents, but God says differently.
Romans 12:12-13 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
So instead of feeling stuck in the middle, trying to figure out what your life is really about, be thankful for the “miracle in the middle.” You will find these tiny miracles by counting your many blessings. I know once I start counting my blessings and thanking God for the family I have my day instantly improves! Always have the thought that something great is about to happen to you and it will. Be thankful in every waking moment. Find the “miracle in the middle” while waiting for the answer to your prayers.
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray today to be patient. To know that there is beauty in every waking moment. To understand that you are watching over me, every second of the day. I pray to count my blessings daily and know that I am truly blessed beyond measure. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
